IMEROVIGLI

OUR LITTLE HOLIDAY STORY CONTINUES….

IT WAS TIME TO ADVENTURE THE ISLAND A BIT AND CHECK OUT A LITTLE VILLAGE CALLED IMEROVIGLI…
MY OUTFIT; JEANS SHORTS, BRACELETS AND NECKLACE FROM HERE, SHIRT FROM HERE, NEVERFULL BAG FROM LOUIS VUTTON, WHITE AND GOLD WATCH FROM MICHAEL KORS, SUNGLASSES FROM GUCCI AND BOW JELLY BALLERINAS FROM SUPERGA.

MY LOVE´S OUTFIT; ALL THE CLOTHING FROM RALPH LAUREN AND BOAT SHOES FROM HERE.

IMEROVIGLI IS  A TRADITIONAL VILLAGE AND IT´S THE EXTENSION OF FIRA BUT IS SITUATED ON A HIGHER CLIFF. THE NAME COMES FROM THE WORD `VIGLA`WHICH MEANS `DAY`. IN FRONT OF THE VILLAGE IS LOCATED AN ENORMOUS ROCK CALLED SKAROS. UNTIL 1800, SKAROS WAS PART OF THE LAND AND HAD A CASTLE ON IT WHERE ALL THE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES OF THE ISLAND WERE LOCATED. THE VILLAGE WAS ALMOST DESTROYED BY THE EARTHQUAKE OF 1956, AND THE CLIFF-EDGE HOUSES WERE ABANDONED BUT TOURIST TRADE STARTED UP AGAIN IN THE 1970´S. TODAY IMEROVIGLI IS A BEAUTIFUL AND QUIET VILLAGE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR COUPLES SEEKING FOR TRANQUILITY, SPECTACULAR VIEWS AND ROMANTIC GETAWAYS.

SANTORININI IN GENERAL IS NOT THE BEST PLACE TO GO WITH CHILDREN OR ELDERLY PEOPLE WITH REDUCED MOBILITY, SINCE THE TERRAIN OF THE ISLAND IS VERY CHALLENGING.

WONDERFUL PLACES, VIEWS, RESTAURANTS, HOTELS, CAFETERIAS AND FRIENDLY PEOPLE…..LOVE THE PLACE.LOVELY LITTLE LAID BACK FURRY FRIEND….AND THE STORY CONTINUES….
